SINGAPORE (June 16): Singapore stocks slipped into losses on worries facing the global economy after the US Fed signalled it will take a cautious approach to raising interest rates.
At 12noon, the benchmark Straits Times Index is down 0.7%, or 19.46 points, to 2,754.79, giving up gains from Wednesday. In the broader market, 360 million shares were traded, giving a transaction value of $394 million. Losers outnumbered gainers 218 to 84.
